NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The Washington and Lee women's track and field team had five Top 3 finishes at the Blue & Silver Challenge hosted by Christopher Newport on Saturday.

Highlights From the Meet

  • Senior Kaleigh Hinton (Florham Park, N.J./Hanover Park) took first in the 400m hurdles (1:05.35) and third in the 100m hurdles in a personal-best time of 15.78. Her time in the 100m hurdles is the fifth-fastest in program history.
  • Senior Lily Arnold (Jacksonville, Fla/The Bolles School) claimed second in the 1,500m in 4:55.27, first-year Annie Cunningham (Clifton, Conn./Sacred Heart Academy) was third in the 800m (2:23.47) and junior Maggie Seybold (Cockeysville, Md./McDonogh School) placed third in the 5,000m in 18:57.00.
  • First-year Emma Coleman (Parkton, Md./Hereford) registered a career-best mark of 33.70m (110'7.00") in the hammer throw, which is the third-best toss in W&L history.
