W&L Women's Track & Field Wraps up Competition at VMI Invite

LEXINGTON, Va. — The Washington and Lee women's track and field team finished up competition at the VMI Invitational on Saturday at the Corps Physical Training Facility. The meet featured mostly Division I teams with only a handful of Division III programs competing.

Highlights From the Meet

  • Sophomore Ellie Bradach (Roswell, Ga./Wesleyan) registered a new personal best in the 3,000m by over 20 seconds. She finished 25th overall with a time of 11:33.94. Her previous best time was 11:55.77.
  • First-year Emma Coleman (Parkton, Md./Hereford) registered a new career best in the shot put with a toss of 9.35m (30'8.25").
  • First-year Annie Cunningham (Clifton, Conn./Sacred Heart Academy) took 17th in the 800m with a time of 2:24.91. That time is just over two seconds off from being a program Top 5 mark.
