NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) announced its 2014 College Division Women's Soccer All-State Teams and Washington and Lee had three players recognized.
Sophomore forward Tricia Jessee (Roanoke, Va. / Patrick Henry), senior midfielder Katie Rossi (Wyoming, Del. / Caesar Rodney) and junior goalkeeper Addie Healy (Waterford, Va. / Woodgrove) all earned second team accolades.
Jessee notched a team-high 32 points on 14 goals and four assists. She ranked fourth in the league in goals and points. Jessee was also recognized with First Team All-ODAC accolades earlier this season.
Rossi saw action in 17 games this season, starting every game in which she played. She registered two goals and five assists for nine points. She finished her career with 14 goals and 22 assists for 50 points. Rossi also earned First Team All-ODAC recognition earlier this season.
Healy started 17 games in goal for the Generals and posted 11 shutouts. She recorded 40 saves with six goals-allowed for a 0.35 goals-against average. She ranked third in the conference in goals-against and second in goals-against average. Healy also claimed an .870 save percentage, which ranked second in the ODAC. Earlier this season, she received First Team All-ODAC laurels.
W&L ended the 2014 campaign with a 15-2-1 overall record and an 11-1 conference mark after falling to Lynchburg, 1-0, in the ODAC Tournament Championship match.
