NELLYSFORD, Va. – The 17th-ranked Washington and Lee women's golf team remains in second-place following the completion of the second round of the ODAC Championship at the Wintergreen Resort on Monday.
Bridgewater increased its lead to 34 strokes with a two-day total of 328-332—660 (+84). The Generals followed a first-round score of 344 with a 350 in the second round for a two-day score of 694 (+118).
Christina Herbert of Bridgewater remained seven strokes ahead of the field in the individual competition, posting a two-day score of 72-78—150 (+6).
W&L junior Mary-Frances Hall (State Road, N.C. / Elkin) is still in contention for the individual title and sits in second-place with a 79-78—157 (+13).
Junior Dana Droz (Lancaster, Pa. / Veritas Academy) is in eighth-place out of the 30 golfers in the championship with a +31 score of 88-87—175. First-year Caroline Buckley (Duxbury, Mass. / Notre Dame Academy) is in 11th-place with a 90-90—180 (+36), while senior Katelyn Degnan (Saint Petersburg, Fla. / Canterbury School) and first-year Griffin Foultz (San Antonio, Texas / St. Mary's Hall) are 13th and 14th, respectively. Degnan has carded an 87-97—184 (+40) and Foultz has posted a score of 90-95—185 (+41).
Action will continue on Tuesday with the final round of competition from the Wintergreen Resort.
