ATLANTA -- The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced the Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll for the 2018-19 season and Washington and Lee ranked 19th in Division III.
The Generals finished the year with a combined grade-point average of 3.579. Shenandoah took the top spot in Division III with a team GPA of 3.764.
This marks the fifth year in a row the Blue and White has been named to the Top 25 Honor Roll. Last season, the Generals were 21st with a 3.581 GPA.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and junior/community college women's basketball teams across the nation that have the highest combined grade-point averages inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season.
The Generals concluded the 2018-19 campaign with a 19-9 overall record, tied for the most wins in a season in program history, and went 13-5 in ODAC play. W&L also made it to the ODAC Tournament Championship game for the second time in program history.
