Generals Register Four Personal Bests at Camel City Invite

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Washington and Lee men's track and field team had two Top 10 finishes at the Camel City Invitational at the JDL Fast Track on Friday against mostly Division I and II competition.

Highlights From the Meet

  • In the 800m, senior Cooper Baird (Fort Worth, Texas/Fort Worth Country) took eighth overall (2nd in DIII) with a time of 1:57.96. It marked Baird's second-fastest indoor 800m time in his career.
  • Junior Austin Kinne (Bolingbrook, Ill./Neuqua Valley) finished 10th in the 5,000m with an indoor personal best time of 15:41.08.
  • Senior Hank Patrick (Baton Rouge, La./University Laboratory School) registered a nine-second personal best in the 3,000m in 8:48.40. He took 19th overall. His previous best time was 8:57.13.
  • First-year Ethan Bernstein (Bethlehem, Pa./Saucon Valley) was the second-fastest Division III runner and 29th overall in the mile with a career-best time of 4:27.42. Sophomore Daniel Cope (Dallas, Texas/St. Mark's School)) also registered a personal best in the event in 4:33.09.
