Caines Leads W&L Men's Track & Field on Day Two of Finn Pincus Invite

SALEM, Va. — The Washington and Lee men's track and field team had five Top 10 finishes on day two of the Finn Pincus Invitational hosted by Roanoke College on Saturday.

Highlights From the Meet

  • Sophomore Alexander Caines (Hanover Park. Ill./Lake Park) finished third in the 800m with a personal-best time of 1:59.27. Sophomore Miles Oliver (Chevy Chase, Md./Georgetown Prep) placed ninth in the race in 2:02.82, and sophomore Danner Butler (Mobile, Ala./UMS-Wright) took 10th (2:03.88).
  • First-year Nick Greenberg (Allen, Texas/The Episcopal School) claimed sixth in the long jump with a leap of 6.62m (21'8.75").
  • Junior Donovan Fiore (Gilbert, Ariz./Chandler Prep Academy) was 10th in the 400m in 51.33.
