    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced on Monday that Washington and Lee sophomore Donovan Fiore (Gilbert, Ariz. / Chandler Prep Academy) earned Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honors, junior Elle Chancey (Tampa, Fla. / Berkeley Preparatory School) is the Women’s Swimmer of the Week and sophomore Ben Brown (Baldwin, Md. / Loyola Blakefield) garnered Men’s Swimmer of the Week accolades for the week ending January 21.

    Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that a record 253 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed fall term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.50. The prior record for scholar-athletes in the fall or winter term was 242 set last fall.

    The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released the Division III Men's Scholar Athletes of the Year, the All-Academic individuals and the All-Academic Teams on Thursday and Friday, and six Washington and Lee athletes received All-Academic recognition. W&L also garnered 2017 All-Academic Team honors.
