VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- The top-seeded Washington and Lee men's tennis team posted a 5-1 victory over fourth-seeded Guilford in the semifinals of the ODAC Tournament held at the Everett Tennis Center at Virginia Wesleyan University on Saturday morning.
The Generals swept the doubles points with relative ease and the recorded straight set wins at Nos. 5-6 singles to close out the match.
Guilford ends its season with a 10-7 overall record, while W&L improved to 14-7.
Washington and Lee will advance to Sunday's ODAC title match, which will be held at Virginia Wesleyan at 10:00 am. The Generals will meet the winner of the other semifinal contest between second-seeded Hampden-Sydney and third-seeded Virginia Wesleyan.
