W&L Tennis Wraps up Play in the W&L Invitational

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee men's tennis team wrapped up play in the W&L Invitational on Sunday at the W&L Courts.

In singles action, senior Hayden White (Baltimore, Md./Towson) took the third-place match of the "A" singles flight, defeating Will Drougas of Case Western Reserve, 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 (4).

Several other W&L players were slated to play each other in third-place matches of the "B" and "C" singles flights, but did not play the matches.

W&L first-years John Kirby (Jacksonville, Fla./Stanton College Prep) and Robert Eckstein (New Orleans, La./Isidore Newman) did contest their third-place match in the "D" singles flight, with Kirby emerging victorious, 6-0, 6-4.


Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday as it competes in the Mary Washington Kickoff Classic.  Action begins at 8:00 am.
