COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its 2019 Division III Men's Scholar All-America Teams on Tuesday, and Washington and Lee was among 134 teams that garnered the accolade.
The CSCAA recognizes teams with the Scholar All-America Award for achieving a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
W&L notched a 3.56 grade-point average in the classroom during the 2018-19 school year which ranked eighth out of the 134 schools, up 0.17 points from last season's 3.39 team average. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) posted the highest team GPA in Division III with a mark of 3.76.
The Generals finished the season with a 29th-place showing at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, scoring 14 points in the process, after winning their fifth consecutive ODAC title.
