Day Two of the Callaway Gardens Intercollegiate Has Been Cancelled

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The second day of competition at the Callaway Gardens Intercollegiate has been cancelled due to weather conditions and their effect on the course playing conditions on Tuesday.

The W&L men shot a 296 (+8) on Monday and finish the event in sixth-place out of 18 teams. Individually, sophomore Sean Puleo (Albany, N.Y. / Albany Academy) posted a -1 score of 71 and finished in a tie for fifth-place out of 102 golfers.

The W&L women carded a 303 (+11) and completed the tournament in third-place out of 14 teams.  Senior Mary-Frances Hall (State Road, N.C. / Elkin) registered a +1 score of 74 and tied for seventh-place out of the 90 golfers in the event. 

Both Washington and Lee squads will return to action on March 16-18 at the Jekyll Island Invitational in Jekyll Island, Ga.  The men will play the Pine Lakes Golf Club and the women will play the Indian Mound Golf Club.
