McMillan Named ODAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

FOREST, Va. — The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its Athletes of the Week on Monday for the two-week span from December 17 through December 30, and Washington and Lee senior forward Roy McMillan (Raleigh, N.C./Broughton) was named the Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

McMillan averaged 24.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 blocks per contest to lead the Generals (8-4, 1-2 ODAC) to a 2-1 record. He also shot 52.1 percent (25-of-48) from the field and 40.0 percent (8-of-20) from beyond the arc. He earned All-Tournament Team accolades at the W&L Tournament on December 29 and garnered the MVP honor at the Mauro Panaggio Tournament on December 17.

In a 75-66 win over Brockport in the championship game of the Mauro Panaggio Tournament, McMillan registered 25 points and 11 rebounds. He totaled 31 points and 15 rebounds against Centre on December 28, finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists against Cabrini on December 29.

McMillan is second in the ODAC this season in scoring at 19.2 points per game and is fourth in rebounding at 9.6 per contest. He is also seventh in the conference in blocks with 14. The Generals return to action on Wednesday, when they host Roanoke at 7:00 pm.
