CHANDLER, Ariz. — The National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced the 2018 ZAG Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction on Wednesday, and Washington and Lee first-year defender Abby Hamilton (Oxford, Pa./Padua Academy) was one of 268 athletes honored.
Hamilton played and started all 18 games in 2018, and helped the defense register three shutouts and a 2.05 goals-against average, including a 1.25 GAA in eight home contests. She is just the fourth player in program history to earn the laurel.
