CHANDLER, Ariz. — The National Field Hockey Coaches Association released its 2018 Longstreth/NFHCA Division III All-Region teams on Wednesday, and Washington and Lee senior forward Haley Tucker (Manakin-Sabot, Va./St. Catherine's School) was selected to the All-South Region First Team.
This marks the second straight season Tucker has made the first team. She is only the fifth player in program history to earn all-region accolades twice, and just the second to be named to the first team multiple times, joining Kendall Korte '08.
Tucker was second on the squad in goals (11), assists (4) and points (26) this season, while only playing 11 of the Generals' 18 games. She scored in seven of the 11 contests she played in, including all five home games. Tucker also led the team with 81 shots. She was named First Team All-ODAC earlier this year.
For her career, Tucker is third on the W&L all-time list in goals (49), second in career points (115) and seventh all-time in assists (17). She notched her fourth career hat trick this season, which is the third-best total in program history.
The Generals finished the 2018 campaign 8-10 overall and were 5-3 in the ODAC. W&L advanced to the ODAC Tournament semifinals, falling to Shenandoah, 1-0, in overtime on November 2.
