Stutts Named to ODAC Baseball All-Tournament Team

SALEM, Va. — Following the conclusion of the ODAC Baseball Tournament on Monday in Salem, the conference announced the all-tournament team. Senior shortstop Jonathan Stutts (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Country Day) was named to the squad following his performance in three games.

The Generals won their opening game on Thursday against Shenandoah (7-4), before losing to eventual champion Randolph-Macon, 5-1, on Friday and Hampden-Sydney, 6-5, in 11 innings on Saturday. Stutts went 5-for-14 (.357) in the three games with two RBI and five total bases.

On Friday against Randolph-Macon, Stutts became the all-time hits leader at W&L. With a single into left field in the bottom of the fifth, he broke Michael Hanson's mark of 187. It was Stutts' second single of the game and the 188th hit of his career. He finishes his career with 189 hits, as he recorded a single on Saturday.
