Seven Generals Named to the ODAC Fall Sportsmanship Teams

FOREST, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday that 58 student-athletes have been selected to the ODAC Sportsmanship teams for the fall season.

One student-athlete is chosen from each school that participates in a fall sport.  From Washington and Lee, senior Rob George (Middletown, N.J./Middletown South) and first-year Ashley Gerard (Savannah, Ga./Savannah Country Day) were selected for cross country, senior Taylor Garrett (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook) and sophomore Collier Wiseman (Danville, Va./George Washington) were chosen for soccer, senior Kate Donnelly (Houston, Texas/St. John's) was tabbed from the field hockey team, senior Jenna Finger (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) was the representative from volleyball and junior Rob Look (Dallas, Texas/Hillcrest) was the football honoree from W&L.

George capped his final season with the Generals by placing 28th (28:15) at the ODAC Championships and leading the team en route to a 70th-place finish (27:23) out of 164 runners at the NCAA Southeast Regional competition.  Gerard’s best finish of her rookie campaign was a 70th-place finish out of 142 runners at the Dickinson Invitational with a time of 26:09.

A midfielder, Garrett completed her senior season as the team’s leading scorer with 11 points.  She played in all 17 games with 11 starts and finished with five goals and one assist.  Wiseman played in 16 games and started 15 contests as a defender during his sophomore season.  He helped the Generals allow an average of just 1.14 goals per game with seven shutouts.

Donnelly played in 15 games as a defender, starting 14 games.  She notched one goal and helped the defense post a pair of shutouts during the season.

Finger played in 199 sets and saw action in 32 of the team’s 35 matches as a setter and defensive specialist.  She posted 259 digs, 37 service aces and 31 assists.

Look played in 10 games as a linebacker and finished as the team’s third-leading tackler with 62 tackles, three pass breakups and one interception.
