W&L places numerous student-athletes on ODAC Sportsmanship Teams

FOREST, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has released its 2017-18 season sportsmanship teams and several Washington and Lee student-athletes were among those honored.

Each school has one student-athlete recognized on the sportsmanship teams for each of the 24 intercollegiate varsity sports sponsored by the conference. For W&L, the following athletes were cited for their sportsmanship during each of the three seasons:

In all, the ODAC recognized 246 student-athletes conference-wide for the sportsmanship they exhibited throughout the 2017-18 school year.

The Generals tied a program-best with 11 ODAC Championships during the 2017-18 campaign, competing in NCAA Championship competition in 14 different sports during the course of the year. The Generals’ tally was bolstered by a national runner-up showing in men’s golf. Overall, the Blue & White notched a 204-105-3 (.659) record while also claiming the ODAC Commissioner’s Cup for the 16th year in a row.

Additionally, Washington and Lee claimed the ODAC’s Dan Wooldridge Overall Champions Cup for the 16th straight year.
