Washington and Lee senior Kat Telfeyan (Chesapeake, Va./Great Bridge) competed at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Washington and Lee men’s and women’s cross country teams were in action on Saturday morning at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional hosted by Guilford College. The W&L women placed fifth out of 27 teams, while the men finished eighth out of 24 squads.

The Washington and Lee women’s cross country team, behind five all-conference finishes, captured second place at the 2009 ODAC Cross Country Championships hosted by Roanoke College.

Senior Kat Telfeyan (Chesapeake, Va./Great Bridge) finished in the Top 10 and the Washington and Lee women’s cross country team finished in ninth place out of 28 teams at the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday.

The Washington and Lee women’s cross country team won its second-consecutive meet as it took first out of five teams at the EMU Invitational on Saturday morning.
