    The Washington and Lee women’s cross country team finished eighth out of 14 teams at the Virginia Tech Alumni Invitational on Friday, but were the second-best Division III program.
  • W&L Men's & Women's Cross Country Teams Announce Schedule Change

    Due to unforeseen transportation issues, the Washington and Lee men's and women's cross country teams will now compete at the Hokie Invite hosted by Virginia Tech on Friday instead of the originally scheduled Stevenson Mustang Stampede.

    Competing against Division I and Division II programs, the Washington and Lee women’s cross country team finished fourth out of five teams at the Hokie Invite on Friday. The Generals finished with the same team score as the schools that finished second and third but lost both tiebreakers to take fourth.

    The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its preseason NCAA Division III Women’s Cross Country National Top 35 Poll on Wednesday, and Washington and Lee was ranked 29th with 52 points.

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its 2017 women’s cross country preseason coaches’ poll on Wednesday, and two-time defending league champion Washington and Lee took first out of 12 teams. The Generals received 10 first-place votes and 120 total points.
