At Gettysburg, W&L placed three runners in the Top 40 of the 290-person field, led by first-year Rebecca Bryer's (Chester, Pa./Unionville) 16th-place finish (24:04). Sophomore Lauren Schultz (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) took 17th overall (24:07) and first-year Annelise Madison (Roca, Neb./Norris) finished in 24:39 to place 38th.
The Generals' next race is the ODAC Championships at Randolph College on Oct. 30, with a start time slated for 12:00 pm.
W&L Women's Cross Country Ranked Third in Region
NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recently announced its weekly regional rankings and the Washington and Lee women's cross country team currently sits third in the South/Southeast Region.
Emory and Rhodes are the only two schools ranked above the
Generals, who rose three spots in the rankings following a
fourth-place finish at the Gettysburg Invitational last
weekend.
