W&L's Schultz Earns Weekly ODAC Award
FOREST, Va. -- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced
its conference athletes of the week on Monday afternoon and for the
second-consecutive week, Washington and Lee sophomore Lauren Schultz (Hopkinton,
Mass./Hopkinton) was honored by the league.
Schultz once again took home the league's award for the top
women's cross country athlete as she led the Generals to a
10th-place finish at the Dickinson Long-Short Course
Invitational on Saturday. Schultz took 14th overall in
the 6k race with a time of 24:08.
She also earned the award last week when she won the W&L
Invitational with a time of 24:18 to help the Generals earn the
team title as well.
Washington and Lee returns to action on October 1, when it
takes part in the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh.
