SALEM, Va. -- Washington and Lee women’s cross country
senior Kat Telfeyan (Chesapeake, Va./Great Bridge) was named the
Old Dominion Athletic Conference women’s cross country
athlete of the week for the week ending Sept. 27.
Telfeyan took first out of 54 runners at the Maroon Invitational on Saturday with a time of 24:38.44. Her time was 18 seconds faster than that of the second-place finisher, first-year teammate Lauren Schultz (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton).
Telfeyan was one of five W&L runners to place in the Top 15 as the Generals won the event with a team score of 39 points.
The Generals return to action on Saturday when they take part in the Royals Invitational hosted by Eastern Mennonite. The race is slated to begin at 10:00 am.
