Taylor Gibson is in her second season as the assistant volleyball coach. In her first year with the program, the Generals went 28-7 overall and claimed the school's 14th ODAC title. The 28 wins were the most for W&L since 2010. The team also advanced to the NCAA Tournament, losing in the first round.
A 2006 graduate of Washington and Lee with a bachelor of arts in English and philosophy, she came to W&L from San Diego, Calif., where she was the national recruiting director for volleyball at Sportsforce Online. Gibson was also the Epic Volleyball Club coach since January of 2013. She spent four years as an account manager for HireRight, Inc.
Gibson was a four-year member of the volleyball team while at W&L. The Generals went a combined 127-25 in her four seasons, including a perfect 42-0 in ODAC play. Along with four conference titles, the Blue and White advanced to the NCAA Tournament each year. Taylor is still second all-time at W&L in hitting percentage (.339) and fifth all-time in blocks (325).
