W&L VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO TRINITY, 3-0, IN NCAA TOURNAMENT

ATLANTA, Ga. -- The fourth-seeded Washington and Lee volleyball team saw its season come to an end with a 30-17, 30-22, 30-18 loss to top-seeded Trinity (Texas) University in the NCAA Division III Volleyball South Regional Semifinals on Friday evening at Emory University.

Sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) led the Generals with 13 kills and 10 digs. Her 13 kills give her a total of 475 for the season, breaking the W&L single-season record set by Lindsay Ruckert in 2001.

Sophomore outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) collected five kills and 11 digs while freshman setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) added 27 assists and eight digs.

Trinity (34-4) was led by Shawn McLaughlin, who had 14 kills and nine digs. Brianna Iversen finished with seven kills and 17 digs.

W&L finishes the year with a school-record 32 victories against just eight losses. It was the team’s third appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament in the last four years.

W&L VOLLEYBALL WINS NCAA TOURNAMENT OPENER

ATLANTA, Ga. -- Fourth-seeded Washington and Lee defeated fifth-seeded Christopher Newport, 30-19, 30-27, 28-30, 30-20 in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament on Thursday evening at Emory University.

The Generals (32-7) advance to the South Region semifinal where they will face top-seeded Trinity (Texas) University on Friday at 4:30 pm.

“Obviously, this is a huge win for us,” said Washington and Lee Head Coach Bryan Snyder. “Any win at this time of the year is great. Going up two games to none was important because it put us in control of the match.”

Leading the way for W&L was sophomore outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll), who totaled team-highs in kills (15) and digs (20). Sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) notched 12 kills and 14 digs, while freshman setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) tallied a team-high 34 assists and four aces.

“Christine’s main thing today was her serving,” noted Snyder. “She just started jump-serving on Monday and it was really impressive tonight. She switched positions mid-season and as she continues to improve, so do we as a team.”

The loss ended Christopher Newport’s season at 24-8 overall. The Captains had defeated W&L, 3-2, in the teams’ two prior meetings this season.

W&L VOLLEYBALL WINS SECOND STRAIGHT ODAC CHAMPIONSHIP

HARRISONBURG, Va. -- The top-seeded Washington and Lee volleyball team won its second straight ODAC Championship and its fifth in the last six years with 3-0 wins over Randolph-Macon and Bridgewater.

In a 30-28, 30-28, 30-21 semifinal victory over fourth-seeded Randolph-Macon (18-12), freshman middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) led the way with 13 kills and five digs. Freshman middle blocker Taylor Gibson (San Diego, Calif./Point Loma) notched 11 kills and three blocks, while sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) tallied 10 kills, six digs and three blocks. Freshman setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) added 40 assists and 14 digs.

In a 30-23, 36-34, 31-29 championship win over Bridgewater (28-5), Chastain led the way with 13 kills, 11 digs and two blocks. Gaillard notched 12 kills, five digs and three blocks, while sophomore outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) contributed 11 kills and six digs. Sophomore libero Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) added 19 digs, while Gladysz totaled 38 assists and 10 digs.

Wolfing and Gladsyz were named to the all-tournament team with Gladsyz earning tournament MVP honors.

With the wins, W&L established a new program record for victories (31-7) and will wait until Sunday evening to find out who it plays in the upcoming NCAA Division III Tournament.

W&L VOLLEYBALL DOWNS LYNCHBURG, 3-0, IN ODAC VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

HARRISONBURG, Va. -- The top-seeded Washington and Lee volleyball team began the defense of its 2001 ODAC Championship with a 30-13, 30-17, 30-14 win over eighth-seeded Lynchburg in the opening round of the ODAC Tournament on Friday evening at Eastern Mennonite.

The Generals (29-7) were led by sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep), who tallied 13 kills, 14 digs and four aces. Sophomore outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) notched 14 kills and nine digs, while freshman middle blocker Taylor Gibson (San Diego, Calif./Point Loma) recorded 12 kills and four blocks. Freshman setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) added 46 assists and nine digs.

The loss ended Lynchburg’s season at 15-16 overall.

Washington and Lee will face the winner of the match between fourth-seeded Randolph-Macon and fifth-seeded Guilford on Saturday at 10:30 am. The championship match will be played at 3:00 pm.

W&L VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS ROANOKE AND MARYVILLE, 3-0

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team improved to 28-7 overall, 10-0 in the ODAC with a pair of 3-0 wins on Saturday afternoon. The Generals defeated Roanoke, 30-19, 30-15, 30-16 then came back to defeat Maryville, 30-25, 30-14, 30-24.

In the win over Roanoke, sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) led the way with 12 kills, eight digs and two blocks. Freshman middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) totaled 12 kills and three blocks, while sophomore outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) notched 10 kills and 11 digs. Sophomore libero Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) recorded 12 digs and freshman setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) added 34 assists and 12 digs.

Against Maryville (26-7), Chastain totaled 15 kills and 10 digs, while Wolfing collected 12 kills and 17 digs. Lux notched 17 digs and Gladsyz added 37 assists and 14 digs.

In the day’s other match, Maryville defeated Roanoke, 30-26, 30-27, 30-24. Roanoke is now 23-5 overall, 9-1 in the ODAC, while Maryville is 26-7 overall.

Washington and Lee will return to action on Friday as it competes in the ODAC Tournament. The Generals will be the tournament’s top-seed and will face an opponent to be determined.

Lexington, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team defeated Mary Baldwin, 30-11, 30-8, 30-18, in a non-conference match on Tuesday evening at the Warner Center.

Washington and Lee (26-7) was paced by freshman middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud), who collected 10 kills and four blocks. Sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) amassed seven kills, three blocks and five digs, while freshman setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) added 23 assists and 11 digs.

With the loss, Mary Baldwin fell to 15-13 on the season.

In the loss to Thomas More, the Generals (25-7) were led by freshmen middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud), who amassed 19 kills. Sophomore outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) notched 13 kills and 14 digs, while sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) registered 12 kills. Senior outside hitter Stacey Kimmel (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights) added 19 digs and freshman setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) notched 51 assists and 12 digs.

Against Maryville, Gaillard again led the Generals’ charge with 17 kills and four blocks. MARYVILLE, Tenn. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team improved to 25-5 overall with a 30-15, 30-21, 30-17 win over Sewanee and a 30-22, 30-13, 29-31, 30-21 win over Huntingdon in the opening round of the Maryville Invitational on Friday in Maryville, Tenn.

In the win over Sewanee, the Generals were led by freshmen middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud), who amassed 12 kills. Sophomore outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) notched eight kills, while sophomore libero Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) tallied 10 digs. Freshman setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) added 29 assists and six digs.

Against Huntingdon, Wolfing led the way with 14 kills and 18 digs. Gaillard totaled 14 kills and four blocks, while sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) added 13 kills and eight digs. Lux accounted for 10 digs and Gladysz notched 33 assists.

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) recorded 18 kills and 21 digs to lead Washington and Lee past Bridgewater, 30-14, 30-27, 29-31, 30-27 in ODAC volleyball action on Tuesday evening at the Warner Center.

Freshmen middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) totaled 16 kills and five blocks, while sophomore outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) notched 11 kills and 16 digs. Freshman middle blocker Taylor Gibson (San Diego, Calif./Point Loma) added seven kills and seven blocks. Freshman setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) amassed 47 assists and 14 digs.

The win was W&L’s 19th-straight against ODAC competition and improved the Generals’ record to 23-5 overall, 9-0 in the ODAC. The loss dropped Bridgewater to 21-4 overall, 7-2 in the ODAC.

Washington and Lee returns to action this weekend as it participates in the Maryville Invitational. On Friday, the Generals will play Sewanee at 4:30 pm and Huntingdon and 7:00 pm.

In a 30-13, 30-24, 30-17 win over Lynchburg, the Generals were led by sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep), who totaled 18 kills and 10 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. LYNCHBURG, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team won its 17th straight ODAC match with a 30-15, 30-16, 30-20 win over Randolph-Macon Woman’s College on Friday evening in Lynchburg, Va.

The Generals (19-5, 7-0) were led by freshman outside hitter Laura Byrne (Springfield, Pa./Merion Mercy Academy), who totaled 10 kills. Freshman middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) recorded six kills, while freshman setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) amassed 22 assists.

Senior outside hitter Stacey Kimmel (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights) contributed six service aces, raising her career total to a school-record 206 aces. The previous record of 202 aces had been held by Lindsay Ruckert (1998-01).

The loss dropped the WildCats to 4-15 overall, 0-8 in the ODAC.

W&L VOLLEYBALL WINS GOUCHER INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT

BALTIMORE, Md. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team won matches against Chowan, Marymount and Elizabethtown to win the Goucher Invitational Volleyball Tournament on Saturday in Baltimore, Md.

In the first round of play, W&L defeated Chowan by scores of 30-12, 30-15, 30-22. Sophomore outside hitter and tournament MVP Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) paced the Generals with 12 kills. Sophomore outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) and freshman middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) each registered eight kills, and freshman setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) amassed 39 assists and 10 digs.

In the 30-14, 30-15, 30-16 win over Marymount, Chastain recorded 21 kills and eight digs to lead the Generals. Gaillard notched 10 kills while Gladysz contributed 35 assists.

The Generals (17-4) rode Chastain’s 21 kills and nine digs for a 32-30, 30-17, 33-31 championship victory against Elizabethtown. Wolfing (15 kills, nine digs) and Gaillard (11 kills, five blocks), along with senior outside hitter Stacey Kimmel (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights) and sophomore libero Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) helped key the victory. Lux and Kimmel combined to make 31 digs, and Gladysz tallied 54 assists.

Freshman middle blocker Taylor Gibson (San Diego, Calif./Point Loma) joined Chastain, Kimmel and Gladysz on the All-Tournament team.

The Generals will be back in action next Thursday at 5:00 pm when they compete in the Christopher Newport Tournament.

W&L VOLLEYBALL DROPS ITS TWO MATCHES AT EMORY CLASSIC

ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team dropped its two matches in the second and final day of play Saturday at the Emory Classic in Atlanta, Ga. In its first match, W&L was upended by Southwestern University, 36-34, 30-17, 30-28, before falling to tournament host Emory University by scores of 30-27, 24-30, 30-22, 31-29.

In the match with Southwestern (12-5), freshman middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) was the pace-setter for the Generals with 11 kills and four blocks. Fellow freshman middle blocker Taylor Gibson (San Diego, Calif./Point Loma) chipped in with eight kills and five blocks while freshman libero Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) added 19 digs. Sophomore setter Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) notched 27 assists and eight digs.

Sophomore outside hitters Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) and Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) led the Generals against Emory (16-3), combining for 33 kills and 36 digs. Gaillard totaled 11 kills and Lux tallied 47 assists.

Gaillard was the lone player to make the All-Tournament team for W&L (13-4), which went 1-3 for the two-day tournament

ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team earned a split in its two matches Friday at the Emory Classic in Atlanta, Ga. The Generals fell in their first match to Texas Lutheran, 30-14, 30-19, 30-21, but bounced back to knock off East Texas Baptist, 30-26, 30-25, 30-25.

Against Texas Lutheran (6-7), W&L was led by sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) who rang up 10 kills. Also contributing were freshman libero Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) who chipped in with 16 digs and sophomore setter Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) who notched 27 assists.

Chastain paced the Generals (13-2) in the win over East Texas Baptist with 12 kills and 12 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) added nine kills and 11 digs while freshman middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) tallied nine kills as well. Lux amassed 32 assists.

ASHLAND, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team tied a record for the best start in program history (12-1) with a 30-15, 30-25, 30-13 win over Randolph-Macon and a 30-9, 30-26, 30-16 win over Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon in Ashland, Va.

The Generals (12-1, 4-0) opened the day with a win over the Yellow Jackets (7-7, 1-1) and were led by sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep), who had 16 kills, nine digs and three aces. Freshman middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) totaled nine kills, while freshman libero Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) tallied 18 digs. Sophomore setter Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) amassed 32 assists.

In the win over Virginia Wesleyan (0-11), the Generals were paced again by Chastain’s 10 kills. Freshman outside hitter Ashleigh Overly (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) notched eight kills, while Lux added 37 assists.

W&L VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS HOLLINS, 3-0

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team upped its record to 9-1 overall, 2-0 in the ODAC with a 30-14, 30-19, 30-11 win over Hollins on Wednesday evening at the Warner Center.

The win was the 100th in the career of W&L Head Coach Bryan Snyder. Snyder’s record now stands at 100-41 (.709) overall, 59-16 (.787) at Washington and Lee.

The Generals were led by sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) and freshman middle blocker Taylor Gibson (San Diego, Calif./Point Loma), who each recorded seven kills. Freshman libero Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) notched eight digs, while sophomore setter Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) added 21 assists.

The loss dropped Hollins to 2-10 overall, 0-2 in the ODAC.

Washington and Lee will be in action again on Saturday as it travels to Eastern Mennonite for a 1:00 pm contest with the Royals.

W&L VOLLEYBALL WINS TWO MATCHES IN DAY TWO OF CENTRE TOURNAMENT

DANVILLE, Ky. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team swept its competition in the second day of the Centre Tournament by defeating Transylvania University, 30-26, 30-25, 30-10 and then knocking off Rhodes College, 29-31, 30-28, 38-36, 20-30, 16-14. The Generals finished the tournament with a 4-0 record.

In the win over Transylvania, freshman middle blocker Taylor Gibson (San Diego, Calif./Point Loma) led the way with 13 kills. Sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) tallied 11 kills, while fellow class and position-mate Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) notched seven kills and 10 digs. Sophomore setter Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) amassed 38 assists and 10 digs.

Wolfing paced the Generals against Rhodes, registering career-highs in kills (19) and digs (31). The 31 digs tied the school record held by Megan Snodgrass since the 1998 season.

Chastain supported Wolfing’s effort with a career-high 18 kills and 16 digs, while freshman middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) totaled 11 kills and seven blocks. Senior outside hitter Stacey Kimmel (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights) played her way to all-tournament team honors with eight kills and 15 digs. Lux added 58 assists and 10 digs.

With the wins, W&L upped its record to 8-1 overall. The Generals are in action again on Wednesday as they host Hollins for a 6:30 pm match.

W&L VOLLEYBALL WINS TWO MATCHES IN DAY ONE OF CENTRE TOURNAMENT

DANVILLE, Ky. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team opened the first day of competition at the Centre College Tournament with wins over Averett (30-24, 30-23, 30-25) and Centre (14-30, 23-30, 30-28, 30-20, 15-8) on Saturday afternoon.

In the win over Averett (5-5), the Generals were led by sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep), who recorded a career-high 17 kills. Freshman middle blocker Taylor Gibson (San Diego, Calif./Point Loma) tallied nine kills and six blocks, while senior outside hitter Stacey Kimmel (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights) and freshman libero Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) each notched 10 digs. Sophomore setter Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) added 36 assists.

Against Centre (5-4), freshman middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) paced the Generals (6-1) with 14 kills and six blocks. Chastain totaled 10 kills, while Gibson registered nine kills and four blocks. Kimmel added 14 digs and Lux amassed 38 assists.

The Generals are in action again on Sunday in the second day of the tournament. W&L faces Transylvania at 10:30 am and Rhodes at 1:30 pm.

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team opened its ODAC schedule with a 30-19, 30-19, 30-27 win over Guilford on Wednesday evening at the Warner Center.

The Generals (4-1, 1-0) were led by sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep), who tied a career-high with 16 kills. She also tallied 10 digs and four aces.

Freshman middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) notched seven kills and three blocks, while sophomore setter Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) amassed 35 assists and nine digs.

The loss dropped Guilford to 2-6 overall, 0-1 in the ODAC.

Washington and Lee will be in action again on Saturday as it competes in the Centre College Tournament. The Generals begin the tournament by facing Averett at 12:00 pm.

W&L VOLLEYBALL SPLITS IN DAY TWO OF THE W&L INVITATIONAL

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team upped its record to 3-1 on the season with a split in the second day of competition at the Washington and Lee Volleyball Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Generals fell to Christopher Newport, 21-30, 30-28, 30-25, 19-30, 15-12 in their first match of the day then recovered to defeat Goucher, 30-13, 30-15, 30-21 in the consolation bracket.

Catholic defeated Christopher Newport, 30-24, 30-23, 30-20 in the invitational championship match.

In the loss to Christopher Newport, the Generals were led by sophomore outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll), who recorded 17 kills. Sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) notched 14 kills and 15 digs and was named to the All-Tournament team. Freshman libero Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) had 20 digs for the Generals. Sophomore setter Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) amassed a team-best 46 assists.

The Captains (3-2) were paced by senior outside hitter Oksana Boukhtina (Kazan, Russia/Maury), who registered 15 kills and seven digs. Senior setter Nina Richardson (Poquoson, Va./Poquoson) posted 36 assists.

In the win over Goucher, freshman outside hitter Laura Byrne (Springfield, Pa./Merion Mercy Academy) led the way for W&L (3-1) with a team-high 10 kills. Lux tallied 21 assists.

Senior outside hitter Stephanie Zecominos (Baltimore, Md./Perry Hall) led the Golphers (0-7) with 15 digs.
The Generals will be in action again on Wednesday as they host Guilford for a 6:30 pm match.

W&L BEGINS SEASON WITH A PAIR OF WINS IN W&L INVITATIONAL

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team began its 2002 season with a pair of wins in the first day of the W&L Volleyball Invitational. In their first match, the Generals defeated Goucher College, 30-11, 30-14, 30-20, before downing Shenandoah, 30-17, 30-6, 30-16, in the nightcap.

In game one, the Generals were paced by sophomore outside hitter Michelle Chastain (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep), who tied a school record with nine aces. She also tallied eight kills and eight digs. Sophomore setter Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) recorded a team-high 22 assists.

The Golphers (0-5) were led by freshman outside hitter Sandi Stewart (Greensboro, Md./North Caroline), who notched 16 digs.

Against Shenandoah (3-4), Chastain guided the Generals (2-0) to the win with 14 kills, while sophomore outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) registered 11 kills. Lux amassed a team-high 29 assists.

The Hornets were paced by sophomore outside hitter Hannah Williams (Salem, Va./Glenvar), who notched three kills and 11 digs. Junior setter Lesley Beard (Youngstown, Ohio/Austintown Fitch) registered seven assists.

In Saturday's first semifinal, the Generals will face Christopher Newport at 9:30 am. Catholic then faces Shenandoah in the second semifinal at 11:30 am. The championship match is slated for 3:00 pm.
