Boles and Lausberg Lead W&L Volleyball to 3-1 Victory

MARYVILLE, Tenn. — Behind the attacking duo of senior outside hitter M.A. Boles (Houston, Texas/St. John's) and sophomore outside hitter Anna Lausberg (Ocoee, Fla./Bishop Moore Catholic), the Washington and Lee volleyball team defeated Carroll (Wis.), 3-1, in its season-opening match at the Maryville College Invitational on Friday.

Both Boles and Lausberg recorded double-digit kills to pace the Generals to a 25-21, 21-25, 25-15, 25-14 victory. Boles tallied 13 kills and 11 digs, while Lausberg notched 12 kills and eight digs.

Senior setter Meghan Meleski (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) also had a double-double with 33 assists and 13 digs. In the back row, junior Kelly McManus (Osprey, Fla./Pine View) added eight digs.

Further statistics were not immediately available after the match. The Generals play Rhodes later on Friday at the invitational.
