FOREST, Va. -- Washington and Lee sophomore outside hitter M.A. Boles (Houston, Texas/St. John's) has been named the ODAC Volleyball Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Boles has been the catalyst to the Generals' 8-0 start this season. Over the weekend, she led W&L to a 4-0 record as the Generals claimed the W&L Invitational for the second straight year and the third time in the last four years.
She posted 61 kills with a .431 hitting percentage, while adding 29 digs and six service aces. In the championship match against Gettysburg on Saturday, she recorded 20 kills with a .514 hitting percentage and added nine digs and a pair of service aces.
For the season, Boles leads the ODAC in kills (116) and kills per set (4.46) and she ranks third in hitting percentage (.386). She has also totaled 71 digs and 14 service aces. She is being honored as the Player of the Week for the third time in her career.
The Generals return to the court on Tuesday when they open up conference play at Guilford beginning at 7:00 pm.
