DANVILLE, Va. – Sophomore outside hitter M.A. Boles (Houston, Texas/St. John's) recorded 18 kills and eight digs as the Washington and Lee volleyball team swept Guilford College, 3-0, on day one of the Cougar Classic hosted by Averett University.
Junior right side Taylor Maxey (Poway, Calif./Bishop's School) notched a career-high 10 kills and senior Megan Daily (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook) added seven kills as W&L improved to 2-0 on the young season.
Further statistics and individual set scores were not immediately available.
The Generals return to action on Saturday when they take on Greensboro at 10:00 am followed by a 12:00 pm matchup with host Averett.
