W&L Volleyball Falls to No. 2 Emory, 3-0

ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team saw its 11-match winning streak come to an end with a 3-0 loss to No. 2 Emory University on Saturday afternoon.

W&L (25-5) fell to the second-ranked Eagles (27-4), 25-19, 25-17, 25-10.
 
Junior outside hitter Megan Daily (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook) led the Generals with seven kills, while junior middle blocker Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay School) chipped in five kills and a pair of blocks.
 
Sophomore libero Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) led the defense with 10 digs and first-year setter Meghan Meleski (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) had a team-high 14 assists.
At the conclusion of play, both Dee and Boles were named to the All-Tournament Team.
 
With the loss, the Generals wrapped up regular-season play and will now take part in the ODAC Tournament hosted by Hollins University. The No. 1 seed, W&L will take on eighth-seeded Emory & Henry on Friday at 4:00 pm.
