Generals' Volleyball Rallies Past Berry College, 3-2

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Washington and Lee volleyball team opened play at the Emory National Invitational with a 3-2 victory over Berry College on Friday afternoon.

W&L (23-4) came from behind to defeat the Vikings (20-9) and post its ninth-straight victory, 25-23, 21-25, 23-25, 25-20, 15-11.
First-year outside hitter M.A. Boles (Houston, Texas/St. John's) led the Generals with 16 kills while junior outside hitter Megan Daily (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook) had nine, sophomore right side Bailey Walker (Centennial, Colo./Regis Jesuit) added eight and junior middle blocker Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay School) chipped in seven kills.
Dee also had a team-high five blocks, and Daily and senior middle blocker Louise Brooks (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr) had four blocks apiece.
Sophomore libero Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) led the defense with 13 digs, first-year setter Nikki DelZenero (Willowbrook, Ill./Hinsdale Central) added nine digs, 21 assists and a pair of service aces and first-year setter Meghan Meleski (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) registered 14 assists and three service aces.
The Generals continue play on Friday afternoon when they take on Maryville (Tenn.) at 2:30 pm.
