Washington and Lee Volleyball Sweeps Mary Baldwin, 3-0

SALEM, Va. – The Washington and Lee volleyball team improved t o17-4 on the season with a 3-0 win over Mary Baldwin on Saturday afternoon at the Homer C. Bast Center on the campus of Roanoke College.

W&L swept the Fighting Squirrels (1-24) 25-15, 25-9, 25-9.
First-year middle blocker Emily Hudson (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park) led the Generals with a career-high 10 kills and a .692 hitting percentage. First-year outside hitter M.A. Boles (Houston, Texas/St. John's) added eight kills and classmate Allison Rouse (Troy, Mich./Troy) chipped in five.
Senior defensive specialist Jenna Finger (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) posted a team high 11 digs and added two service aces, while sophomore libero Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) had nine digs and a service ace.
First-year setter Nikki DelZenero (Willowbrook, Ill./Hinsdale Central) had 20 assists to pace W&L and junior Annie Bernacchi (Elkhart, Ind./Elkhart Central) added 11 assists.
The Generals return to action at 2:00 pm on Saturday when they take on Averett University.
