W&L Volleyball Hands Roanoke First ODAC Defeat, 3-0

SALEM, Va. -- First-year outside hitter M.A. Boles (Houston, Texas/St. John's) totaled a career-high 20 kills and the Washington and Lee volleyball team swept Roanoke College, 3-0, in ODAC volleyball action on Wednesday night at the C. Homer Bast Center.

W&L improved to 16-4, 6-1 ODAC with the 25-21, 25-23, 25-21 victory over the Maroons, who slipped to 18-5, 6-1.

In addition to her 20 kills, Boles posted a hitting percentage of .475 and chipped in 10 digs. Senior middle blocker Louise Brooks (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr) added 13 kills with a .333 hitting percentage and sophomore right side Bailey Walker (Centennial, Colo./Regis Jesuit) registered six kills and two blocks.

Sophomore libero Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) notched a team-high 26 digs and senior defensive specialist Jenna Finger (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) had 14 digs and a pair of service aces.

First-year setters Meghan Meleski (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) and Nikki DelZenero (Willowbrook, Ill./Hinsdale Central) totaled 27 and nine assists, respectively.

The Generals return to the court on Saturday when they take on Mary Baldwin in Salem at 10:00 am followed by a 2:00 pm match against Averett.
