W&L's Brooks Tabbed as ODAC Player of the Week for Volleyball

FOREST, Va. -- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its Player of the Week awards on Monday afternoon and for the third-consecutive week Washington and Lee had at least one athlete honored.

Senior Louise Brooks (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr) took home the weekly award in volleyball after helping lead the Generals to a 4-0 week.
 
The middle blocker totaled 31 kills and 14 blocks while hitting .352 in helping the Generals (11-1, 3-0 ODAC) extend their current win streak to 10 matches. Her biggest match of the week came in a 3-0 win over Thiel when she totaled 10 kills, four blocks and a pair of service aces while hitting at a .563 clip.
 
For the season, Brooks has totaled 74 kills with a .329 hitting percentage and she is second on the team with 33 total blocks.
 
The Generals return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Lynchburg College for a 6:30 pm match.
