W&L Volleyball Wins 10th-straight Match, 3-1 over John Carroll

MARIETTA, Ohio – The Washington and Lee volleyball team ran its win streak to 10 matches with a 3-1 victory over John Carroll on Saturday afternoon at the Pioneer Classic.

The Generals won 25-22, 25-19, 15-25, 25-22 to improve to 11-1 on the season while the Blue Streaks fell to 13-6.

First-year setter Meghan Meleski (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) ran the W&L offense and posted 47 assists while adding seven digs. First-year outside hitter M.A. Boles (Houston, Texas/St. John's) totaled 18 kills, junior middle blocker Louise Brooks (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr) added 10 kills and junior middle blocker Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay School) and sophomore right side Bailey Walker (Centennial, Colo./Regis Jesuit) chipped in eight kills apiece.

Sophomore libero Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) led the Generals' defense with 14 digs and senior defensive specialist Jenna Finger (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) added 12 digs.

Dee was named the Tournament MVP and was joined on the all-tournament team by Brooks. Dee totaled 30 kills and hit .471 for the tournament, while Brooks added 24 kills and hit .412. The duo also combined for 13 blocks and 19 digs.

W&L returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Lynchburg College for a 6:30 match.
