Generals Volleyball Sweeps Roanoke, 3-0
DANVILLE, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team won its
third-straight match with a 3-0 sweep of Roanoke on the first day
of the Averett Invitational on Friday night.
W&L (8-10), defeated the Maroons (10-11) by scores of 25-12,
25-23, 25-20.
The Generals were led by sophomore Megan Daily (Birmingham,
Ala./Mountain Brook), who notched 14 kills and chipped in five
digs. Junior Louise Brooks (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr) added eight
kills and sophomore Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay School)
contributed seven kills.
Senior Kristi Stevens (Overland Park, Kan./Shawnee Mission South)
once again ran the offense and notched 37 assists as well as nine
digs and first-year Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) had a
team-high 21 digs.
W&L returns to action on Saturday when it takes on Greensboro
at 11:30 am.
