W&L Volleyball Falls to Eastern, 3-0

ST. MARY’S, Md. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team wrapped up play in the Seahawk Invitational with a 3-0 loss to Eastern on Saturday afternoon.

The Generals slipped to 19-13 on the season with the 25-15, 25-18, 25-12 loss.

Senior setter Megan Steinhardt (Cedar Park, Texas/Cedar Park) led the Generals with 24 assists, while junior outside hitter Marah Schmitz (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney) posted a team-high eight kills. First-year right side Bailey Walker (Centennial, Colo./Regis Jesuit) added seven kills.

First-year libero Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) notched 11 digs, while junior defensive specialist Jenna Finger (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) chipped in nine digs.

The Generals are off until Friday, when they will take on Roanoke in the first round of the ODAC Tournament at Hollins University. The match is slated to begin at 4:00 pm.
