Generals' Volleyball Tripped up by Gallaudet, 3-1

ST. MARY’S, Md. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team dropped its second match at the Seahawk Invitational, falling 3-1 to Gallaudet on Friday evening.

The Generals fell, 25-21, 23-25, 25-20, 25-21 and dropped to 18-12 on the season.

Senior outside hitter Rachael Phillips (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep) led W&L with 15 kills and added three blocks. Sophomore middle blocker Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay School) chipped in nine kills and junior middle blocker Louise Brooks (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr) added seven kills.

Junior setter Jenna Finger (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) ran the offense attack, recording 35 assists while notching 11 digs. Senior right side Kelly Harrison (Knoxville, Tenn./Webb School) had a team-high 17 digs.

W&L returns to action on Saturday when it takes on Eastern at 2:00 pm.
