ODAC Releases Volleyball Tournament Pairings

SALEM, Va. -- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its 2009 Volleyball Tournament pairings and Washington and Lee is the second seed heading into tournament play.

The Generals’ first opponent will be No. 7 Roanoke at 4:00 pm on Fri., Nov. 6. W&L and RC have already met three times this season, with the Generals taking all three matches.

ODAC tournament action begins Fri., Nov. 6, with the four quarterfinal matchups.  The event continues on Sat., Nov. 7, with semifinal contests in the morning followed by the conference championship match in the afternoon.  All matches will be played in the gymnasium at Hollins University in Roanoke, Va. Quarterfinals – Friday, November 6
Quarterfinal 1:  #8 Guilford vs. #1 Randolph-Macon – 4:00 p.m. (Court 1)
Quarterfinal 2:  #7 Roanoke vs. #2 Washington and Lee – 4:00 p.m. (Court 2)
Quarterfinal 3:  #5 Emory & Henry vs. #4 Bridgewater – 6:30 p.m. (Court 1)
Quarterfinal 4:  #6 Virginia Wesleyan vs. #3 Lynchburg – 6:30 p.m. (Court 2)

Semifinals – Saturday, November 7
Semifinal 1: Winner 1v8 vs. Winner 4v5 – 11:00 a.m. (Court 1)
Semifinal 2: Winner 2v7 vs. Winner 3v6 – 11:00 a.m. (Court 2)

Championship – Saturday, November 7
