W&L Volleyball Defeats Sweet Briar, 3-0

SWEET BRIAR, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team recorded its sixth-straight win with a 3-0 victory over Sweet Briar on Tuesday evening.

The Generals (11-10, 5-2 ODAC) won 25-11, 25-18, 25-16 over the Vixens (2-15, 0-5) in posting their fourth consecutive 3-0 sweep.

Junior Louise Brooks (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr) led the Blue and White with seven kills, while senior Rachael Phillips (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep) added six kills to go with six digs. First-year Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) led the Generals with 12 digs and also added three service aces. Junior Summer Goldberg (Marietta, Ga./Woodward Academy) registered nine digs.

Senior Kristi Stevens (Overland Park, Kan./Shawnee Mission South) posted 18 assists in just two sets, while sophomore Megan Tomlinson (Petersburg, Pa./Huntingdon Area) notched four service aces.

The Generals return to action on Thursday when they host Guilford at 7:00 pm in the Warner Center.
