Washington and Lee Volleyball Falls, 3-0, to No. 2 Juniata

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team continued its play on day one of the W&L Invitational and fell to No. 2 Juniata, 3-0 on Friday night in the Warner Center.

W&L (0-2) fell 25-18, 25-21, 25-22 to the second-ranked Eagles (7-0) as it wrapped up action on day one of its annual invitational.

Sophomore outside hitter Megan Daily (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook) led the Generals with 10 kills, sophomore middle blocker Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay School) added six kills.

First-year libero Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) led the defensive with 12 digs and sophomore Megan Tomlinson (Petersburg, Pa./Huntingdon Area) added nine digs. Senior setter Megan Steinhardt (Cedar Park, Texas/Cedar Park) once again led W&L with 25 assists.

The Generals open day two of the invitational on Saturday at 10:30 am when they take on Southern Virginia.
