W&L Volleyball Tripped Up by Thomas More, 3-0

ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team fell to Thomas More by a score of 3-0 on the second day of the Emory Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

The Generals (3-8) struggled offensively in falling 25-21, 25-15, 25-15.

Junior Marah Schmitz (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney) led the offense with nine kills and she also led W&L with 11 digs. Senior Kelly Harrison (Knoxville, Tenn./Webb School) added 10 digs as well as four kills, while senior Kristi Stevens (Overland Park, Kan./Shawnee Mission South) added 10 digs.

Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday at 3:30 pm when it takes on Lynchburg in its final match of the tournament.
