W&L Volleyball Upends Lynchburg, 3-1

ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team wrapped up play in the Emory Invitational with a 3-1 win over Lynchburg on Saturday afternoon.

The Generals (4-8) finished play with a 27-25, 25-23, 22-25, 26-24 win over the Hornets.

Senior Rachael Phillips (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep) paced W&L with 20 kills and sophomore Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay School) chipped in nine kills and nine total blocks.

First-year Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) led the team with 25 digs, while senior Kristi Stevens (Overland Park, Texas/Shawnee Mission South) added 19 digs and Phillips finished with 16. Senior Megan Steinhardt (Cedar Park, Texas/Cedar Park) contributed 49 assists for the Generals.

Washington and Lee returns to action on Tuesday when it takes on Emory & Henry at 7:00 pm.
