W&L Volleyball Blanks Virginia Wesleyan, 3-0
LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team bounced
back from a rare league loss on Wednesday and defeated Virginia
Wesleyan 3-0 on Saturday morning at the Warner Center.
The Generals (2-4, 1-1 ODAC) won by set scores of 25-18, 25-17,
25-17 to even its conference record.
Senior outside hitter Rachael Phillips (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep)
led the offense with 12 kills, while junior middle blocker Louise
Brooks (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr) added 10 kills and five digs.
Senior outside hitter Kelly Harrison (Knoxville, Tenn./Webb
School) chipped in seven kills and 12 digs and senior setter Megan
Steinhardt (Cedar Park, Texas/Cedar Park) paced the Generals with
33 assists.
W&L returns to the court later Saturday afternoon to take on
Gettysburg.
