LEXINGTON, Va. — Senior Kaleigh Hinton (Florham Park, N.J./Hanover Park) notched two second-place finishes to lead the Washington and Lee women's track and field team on the second day of the W&L Carnival on Saturday.

Highlights From the Meet

  • Hinton took second in the 100m hurdles and the 400m hurdles. She crossed the finish line with a personal-best time of 16.00 in the 100m hurdles and and had a time of 1:06.49 in the 400m hurdles.
  • First-year Annie Cunningham (Clifton, Conn./Sacred Heart Academy) registered a second-place finish in the 800m with a time of 2:22.04.
  • Sophomore Alexa Castellana (Boonton, N.J.//Mountain Lakes) was third in the triple jump at 10.37m (34'0.25").
  • The 4x100m relay claimed fourth in 53.09. The foursome consisted of junior Jessica Rosenwasser (New York, N.Y./Convent of the Sacred Heart), first-years Samantha Kindsvater (Sumter, S.C./Thomas Sumter Academy) and Clare Perry (Midlothian, Va./Maggie Walker Governor's School) and sophomore Nikki Doherty (Arlington, Mass./Arlington Catholic).
