Dana Lee Takes 13th in Long Jump at NCAA Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship

WAVERLY, Iowa — Washington and Lee junior Dana Lee (Nashville, Tenn./St. Cecilia Academy) finished 13th out of 22 competitors in the long jump at the 2016 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship hosted by Wartburg College on Thursday.

Lee recorded a mark of 5.49m (18'00.25") in her first attempt in the prelims, and then she registered a leap of 5.26m (17'03.25") on her second try. In her final attempt, she jumped 5.56m (18'03.00") to take 13th.

The Top 9 athletes advanced to the finals and had three more jumps, with sophomore Amelia Glueck of Illinois Wesleyan winning the event at 6.02m (19'09.00").

This marked the third straight season Lee has competed in the long jump at the Outdoor Championship. She earned All-America accolades by taking seventh in 2014.

Lee's finish concludes the 2016 season for the Generals.
