Stanton and Lee Compete for W&L Women's Track and Field
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The Washington and Lee women's track and field team had first-years Lizzy Stanton (Papillion, Neb./Papillion-LaVista South) and Dana Lee (Nashville, Tenn./St. Cecilia Academy) compete in last chance meets this weekend.
Stanton competed at the Roanoke/Va. Tech Twilight on Thursday and Lee participated in the Virginia Challenge on Saturday.
In the pole vault, Stanton was the top Division III competitor and took fifth overall with a jump of 3.51m (11'06.25"). The mark tied a season-best for the first-year.
Lee finished ninth in the long jump, and was the only D-III athlete in the 12-competitor event. She recorded a mark of 5.37m (17'09.75").
These were the final scheduled meets for the Generals before the NCAA Championship on May 22-24.
