W&L Women's T&F Completes Day One of Carnival

LEXINGTON, Va. — On day one of the W&L Carnival at Wilson Field, the Washington and Lee women's track and field team had four Top 5 finishes.

The lone event winner for the Generals was first-year Dana Lee (Nashville, Tenn./St. Cecilia Academy) in the long jump. Lee recorded a mark of 5.30m (17'04.75") to take the top spot. Senior Annelise Madison (Roca, Neb./Norris) was the runner up in the 5,000m, crossing the finish line in 18:01.20.

In the 10,000m, junior Casey Mackintosh (Marietta, Ga./George Walton) placed fourth with a time of 39:45.86. Senior Leigh Dannhauser (Bronxville, N.Y./Bronxville) tied for fifth in the high jump at 1.49m (4'10.50").

The W&L Carnival will continue on Saturday, starting at 10:00 am.
