    The College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) announced its 2013-14 Capital One Division III Academic All-America Track and Field and Cross Country teams on Tuesday and Washington and Lee senior Annelise Madison (Roca, Neb./Norris) was among those honored.
  • Tallman and Lee Named ODAC Track and Field Athletes of the Year

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Athletes of the Year on Tuesday, and Washington and Lee senior Zander Tallman (Grand Blanc, Mich./Cranbrook-Kingswood) took home the male award, while first-year Dana Lee (Nashville, Tenn./St. Cecilia Academy) snagged the women’s honor.

    Washington and Lee senior track and field and cross country athlete Annelise Madison (Roca, Neb./Norris) was selected as the recipient of the Marjorie Berkley Award as announced by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference on Monday. The honor is presented to the league’s top female scholar-athlete. Guilford baseball player John Macon Smith was tabbed the winner of the Harry G. “Doc” Jopson Award as the top male scholar-athlete.

  • W&L Claims the 2014 ODAC Overall Sports Champion Cup

    For the 12th-consecutive year, Washington and Lee University has claimed the Dan Wooldridge Overall Sports Champion Cup, as announced by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference on Tuesday. The Generals claimed both the Women’s Commissioner’s Cup and the Men’s Commissioner’s Cup on their way to the overall title.

    Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that a record 210 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed winter term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.500.
