BLACKSBURG, Va. — At the Virginia Tech Last Chance Meet on Saturday, sophomore Jillian Katterhagen (The Woodlands, Texas/The Woodlands) broke her own indoor school pole vault record with a jump of 3.39m (11'02.00").
Katterhagen was the only W&L athlete at the competition that featured a multitude of Division I athletes. She was the top Division III competitor and beat her previous best of 3.36m (11'00.75"). She set that mark early this year at Denison Lid Lifter on January 26, and already holds the outdoor pole vault record at 3.60m (11'09.75").
The Generals begin the outdoor season at the Lynchburg Open on March 16.
