FOREST, Va. — Washington and Lee sophomore Jillian Katterhagen (The Woodlands, Texas/The Woodlands) was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 27, as announced by the league on Monday.
Katterhagen won the pole vault at the Denison Lid-Lifter on Saturday and set the W&L indoor record with a mark of 3.36m (11'00.25"). She broke Liz Brandler's record of 11'00.00", which she set in 2005.
Katterhagen's vault is the top mark in the NCAA South/Southeast Region this year. She also took third in the 60mH with a time of 9.80. Katterhagen was one of six event winners for the Generals on Saturday, as they won the meet with 162 points.
The Generals return to action in two weeks at the Lafayette-Rider Winter Games on February 8.
